Physical Description of Persona:
Rahona is a slim woman of average height, with long, dark brown hair and light-coloured but tanned skin. She has light green eyes which are the only thing that makes her memorable in appearance. Despite her ordinariness she has a quick wit and upbeat personality which appeals to people who have got to know her.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Calm and determination are the dominant character traits that have shaped Rahona into the woman she is. Sometimes her ability to wait situations out without comment is seen as a form of deception, but those who know her have learned that silence and apparent acquiescence should not be taken at face value.

History of Persona:
Rahona is a weyrbred child of River Bluff Weyr dragonriders. She has an elder full brother and a slightly younger half-brother and the three of them were fostered with the same lower caverns woman. During their childhood the three siblings spent plenty of time with their parents and maintain good relationships with them still.

Rahona Stood as a Candidate at the few Hatchings that occurred while she was of an age to be considered and was proud that both her brothers did Impress. Her own life in the lower caverns was pleasant and unremarkable as she was tried in a variety of roles before ending up in the kitchens on general duties.

Her contentment was disrupted by a visitor to the Weyr, a tall, long-legged seacrafter from a ship berthed at Weyr's port. Lineal's good looks attracted more than a little interest among those he encountered but he seemed set on pursuit of Rahona who was charmed but not convinced of his sincerity. After a handful of visits over the next two Turns everybody _but_ Rahona was convinced of Lineal's constancy and people were actively conspiring to help the seacrafter change her mind.

Eventually Rahona did decide to trust the journeyman seacrafter and has never regretted doing so. The couple had two children, a son Nalin and a daughter Lihona, and life would have gone on unchanged forever if an opportunity Lineal had always dreamed of hadn't come up near Emerald Falls Hold. After a much discussion (and again everybody around them had opinions to offer), Rahona agreed to take the children and leave the Weyr to make a new life for herself on the riverboat Sungazer.

Sunbow, Gold Firelizard: aged 8, hatched m5 d1
Sunbow is a friendly young firelizard, curious and loving; not at all what Rahona had expected from a gold. She has a very traditional gold colouring with only the faintest of darker dappling on her rump.
