Physical Description of Persona:
Ruumin is short, standing around 5'4, and possessed of a stocky build that makes him look like he'd have apprenticed to a craft like the Smith instead. He keeps himself in shape, and because of his strength often volunteers to help with the heavy lifting that other Harpers might have more trouble with. He has light blonde hair that he keeps meticulously trimmed to above his collar and swept back from his forehead. His eyes are brown, unusual for his hair color, and his skin is well-tanned by the tropical sun. His features are strong, softened only by the broad smile that frequently graces his face. Hisbuild means his hands aren't deft enough for delicate instrument crafting, but fortunately that's never been his hall interest anyway.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Ruumin has developed a reputation as quite the charmer. Ruumin truly enjoys spending time with people, and it shows in his warm smile and his easygoing manner. There's very few people he doesn't get along with. When not assigned to some task, he can be found in a common area interacting with _someone_. He's often the life of the party. He never hesitates to offer his time to someone in need.

Ruumin's had a hard time of it. Losing 2 of his 3 parents has taught him better then many that life at a Weyr is often short and dangerous. As a result, Ruumin's policy is enjoy what he can, when he can. This means alcohol, cards, and women (and men), in varying orders on varying days. He also has a sense of adventure and can be headstrong and reckless in his personal life. He's always had success with the ladies and the men, but he's not one to commit to just one lover. He enjoys helping others discover their physical side, wryly referring to himself as a "gateway" on more than one occasion.

This doesn't mean that Ruumin's the cocky party boy he looks like at fist glance. He's serious about his craft, and when it's time to get down to studying or working, he will study and work. He's responsible with his tasks, and figures that the sooner he gets his work done, the sooner he can get to playing. He's smart enough to be able to stay above average in his classes, but occasionally he relies on his natural ability to pick things up much and can find himself struggling with something he truly doesn't understand.

History of Persona:
Ruumin was born at Vista Point Weyr to Runard and Minara. Runard had most of his raising, since Minara was a dragonrider. L'pin, the third member of his parents' relationship, also served as a father figure to young Ruumin when not busy.

Ruumin held a typical weyrbred lifestyle most of his life. He ran around, got into scrapes, masterminded pranks, and in his spare time did decently at his lessons. He was always social, and his parents were pleased that their son, at least, escaped much of the bullying that often plagued smaller children.

When he was seven, everything changed. His mother caught an illness, fell into a coma, and her dragon /betweened/. Her loss left the boy withdrawn from others for some time. His father's moving in with L'pin helped to ease the shock somewhat; while L'pin could not replace his mother's place in his heart, living with him provided another source of comfort.

The transfer to Rising Moons did the most to improve his spirits, however. The new location provided a place to start over. Unfortunately, Runard caught firehead and died, marring yet another place. Ruumin was old enough to apprentice then, and threw himself into the Harper training (a natural place for a boy with a good voice and a talent for socializing). L'pin's decision to keep treating Ruumin as his own and calling him "my son" also helped assuage Ruumin's feeling of loss; while his biological parents were both gone, he still had a parent figure.

The transfer to Dolphin Cove Weyr was welcomed by Ruumin, whose newfound adventuring streak led him to enjoy the thought of new places. Being able to apprentice to the official Harper Hall was exciting as well; it seemed like the best possible place for his apprenticeship, and he didn't have to leave L'pin to do it.

Ruumin became a Candidate and Impressed in the same clutch as goldrider Meledei. He died in Threadfall in month 6 of Turn 5.

Description of Dragon:
Tahgirath is a small but sturdy blue. He is a pale blue with small speckles of a darker blue across his wings and legs. His tail is a little short and his wings a little long, but in time he'll grow out of the awkward proportions.

Tahgirath is very law abiding. This little blue likes to do what he's tld when he's told, and will get agitated if his rider does something he thinks is outside of the rules. When he's not being stuffy, he's actually a friendly blue.
