Physical Description of Persona:
Karaleigh is tall for a woman, long in body as well as leg. Her features are strong and cannot be considered beautiful, and yet she is strangely appealing. Most people would agree that her best feature is her smile, whether it is a slight curve to her lips or a full on grin. Her dark hair falls straight to about her shoulders, and her dark brown, almost black eyes shine with intellegence. She also has an intuitive sense of style. Whether it is for work or relaxation, her outfits seem to suit her perfectly. Though not amply endowed, she turns heads as she walks by, both with her fashion sense and the way she carries herself.

Emotional Description of Persona:
Though she is highly intellegent and talented, Karaleigh is shy and lacking in the one thing her outward appearances conveys, confidence. She is not afraid to stand up for her opinion, especially when it comes to matters involving her students. Like any good teacher, she would do anything for the children put under her instruction.

Some people are not quite sure how to take her. She seems to have a very strong a commanding personality, a bit stand offish and snobbish. In truth, she is shy around others, and would much rather spend her time alone in her quarters with her feline than in company. She has a beautiful singing voice, but few outside the classroom have ever heard it. All of her collegues agree that she is an excellent teacher with great ideas and her students adore her. However, she is always battling a feeling of inadequacy. Every failing in her students is a personal failing for her.

History of Persona:
Even as a young girl, Karaleigh had dreams of being a teacher. However, as a girl growing up in a small conservative farming hold, she knew that was impossible. When she reached a marrying age, her father started looking for suitable partners for his only daughter. None seemed to suit her, and as a loving father, he did not push her. Throughout it all, Karaleigh never forgot her dreams.

Finally, at the age of 18, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She left her family home and traveled to the Weyr. There she apprenticed as a harper and spent her days in hard study, determined to be a teacher someday. At the age of 24 she walked the tables as a journeyman. She was finally a teacher.

She quickly earned the respect of the other harpers she worked with. Karaleigh always kept her students best interests at heart, even above her own. The parents admired her strength, and her students worshiped her for her generosity and kindness. Still, she could never quite believe she was anything but an adaquate teacher.

At the age of 27 she walked the tables again, this time as a senior journeywoman. The woman she had looked up to as a mentor since she had come to the Weyr, Master Mitulla, suggested that she needed to find her own path, her own unique style, and hoped it would give her the confidence in herself that she lacked. Being naturally shy and withdrawn the idea of making a fresh start again did not appeal to her. But she knew that her mentor was right. She had to try to do it on her own. Drawing on the strength that first brought her to the Weyr, Karaleigh embarked on a new chapter in her life and transfered to Dolphin Cove Weyr one turn ago.

Nabi, Feline: aged 11, born m6 d25
Nabi is white with black patches. He very lazy, spending his days finding patches of sun and lying in them. Though he is not opposed to the occasional cuddling, and can be motivated to chase something every once in a while, he spends most of his days sleeping and eating.
